Whether you are a guest staying at Villa La Quercia, or a traveler seeking for a day authentic culinary experience, our cooking studio is open all year round for morning or afternoon hands-on cooking classes, followed by lunch or dinner with the fruits of the labour.
The cooking studio is a cottage that used to be the abstract painter Francesco Clemente’s painting studio; in the estate in fact, it is still possible to admire a small collection of his beautiful paintings that recall the beauty of the countryside.
Due to the vibrant oil paints he used,he was named the Hemingway of the colours.
The ground floor of the cottage is the cooking area; a conservatory in glass right next to it, is where the lunch or dinner can be enjoyed. When the weather allows, dining al fresco in front of the Chianti rolling hills is simply amazing!
On the first floor of the cottage, there is a double bedroom with bathroom en suite, and another bedroom with twin size beds (sleeps 4); this chic retreat is for anyone who would like to spend a short vacation in Tuscany and wake up to the sound of the birds chirping, enjoying The Dolce Vita to the fullest.
We also organize market tour in Florence, beautiful off the beaten path winery excursion, cheese tasting at a local organic goat farm, candle lit butler served dinner or lunch.
A wide variety of La Quercia products are available to purchase on site: Trebbiano and San Giovese wines, Extra Virgin Olive oil, red wine vinegar, fruit jams, spreads to pair with fresh or seasoned cheese, dried herbs, fresh eggs, hand made shopping bags, lavander sachets, mugs and much more.
